Next Class: Fabric Design with Photoshop Elements

The next class offered on StepOnPins.com is Fabric Design using Photoshop Elements program taught by The Pixeladies.   Registration is now open for the class running from October 31- November 20, 2011.

Anyway, I have been waiting for a long time to learn the Pixeladies method for designing fabric.  While I am very comfortable with the software, I have long admired the fabric and scarves  that Deb and Kris (aka Pixeladies) have created over the years.

The Pixeladies take a single picture and turn it into a designer scarf, or designer fabric to use in their quilts.  This appeals to the artist/designer in me.  I will take a stab at doing this.  Here is a photo I posted yesterday:

And here is my fabric designed from this photo:

After I take the Pixeladies class, I will show you how improved I am.  LOL  If anyone wants to take the class with me, just click on the links at the top.

Enjoy your day!    Carla

Registration Started For Online Classes

Registration for both Fabric Design with Photoshop Elements and the Beginning Class in Photoshop Elements classes have started!

Fabric Design with Photoshop Elements is a brand new class by The Pixeladies.  Be sure to visit their website and blog to see how wonderful they are!

To show you what they will be teaching in this class, here is an example of The Pixeladies taking a photo and using it to design and create fabric for your projects:

Here is their fabric designed with photoshop elements:

This is the perfect class for those students who love to create!

Here is a photo showing a picture of Hong Kong and the lovely silk scarf created by the Pixeladies:

In their Fabric Design with PSE class, the Pixeladies reveal their secrets for how to design and create your own fabrics, too!  Pretty Cool, isn’t it?

As a reminder, if you wish to take the Fabric Design with PSE class, you must already know how to work with Photoshop Elements or take their beginning class on Photoshop Elements- which is conveniently offered right before this class.  Both classes are geared for Creative Women (and men, too!).

New Class Logo

I decided to draw up a birdy class logo this morning:

This will replace the chicken one I used the other day.  I am more in a birdy mood these days than a chicken mood.

Click the link for information on my upcoming online classes.  Yes, an online class so that you can take it from the comfort of your own home!  I have a notification list going on the class page, too.  Just leave a comment.

I also have a “Quilt Whisperer Yahoo Group” as a place to talk about quilting and design, too. You are welcome to join.

Enjoy your day!  Carla
