New Shop!

I am in the midst of setting this up, but one of my goals this year is to open an online shop of my arts and crafts.  I will set it up at Artfire, which is the newest competitor to etsy:

So…. my question to you is what items should I offer?  I make so many different items that I will actually need to focus for a change!  LOL

Please leave me a comment and tell me what you want to see?  Original cartoons for your studio?  Jewelry?  Freeform crochet? beaded project? Small quilts, fiber postcards, purses or something else you have seen here on the blog?  Thanks for your help!  I really want to hear what your opinion is….

hugs, Carla

  1. I think a little everything is nice. Not tooooo much of everything though. I currently make bags but I’m thinking of expanding to different items in hopes of bringing different type of customers in.

  2. Gosh, I’d like to see it all! But…if I had to pick three to start, my choices would be: small quilts/fiber postcards, jewelry and your original cartoons.

  3. Hmmm…. I love all the wonderful creations you make. I’d have to say the freeform crochet scarves and the crochet purses. They are so unusual and beautiful. Then small fiber art items, then jewelry. JMHO

  4. I am a fan of your cartoons, too. I think your wit strikes a chord with all fiber addicts…the cartoons will sell. And small items such as jewelry would be snapped up, too. Are you planning to do an item with the selvage art?

Yes, I previously did a very nice fiber postcard using dyed selvage….. shall I find a picture? LOL Carla

  5. focus is overrated. do it ALL. it is all wonderful. there are all kinds of people…you need all kinds of goodies. go for it.

  6. Why focus? I particularly love the the cartoons & the jewelry & crochet purses, . I agree with those above — do it all — why not spread yourself out in different categories?

  7. Ok, do it all…. and probably smart to have smaller items, too, as well as more expensive pieces. A cross section of stuff.

Hopefully, I can carve out the time to draw my header and make a photo box to take pics and figure out what to charge.

Thank you for all your help! I appreciate it! Hugs, Carla
