Flying Home Tomorrow

Hello, I’m sitting in my hotel suite in AZ and I borrowed my DH’s laptop for a few minutes.  We have had a wonderful time so far, I am sad that it will end tomorrow.

Foremost on my mind right now is that I need to buy a turkey and fixings for Thanksgiving dinner.  Hmmm…. better stop on the way home from the airport, otherwise, I’ll fix everyone a tofurkey.

Today we visited Frank Lloyd Wright’s School of Architecture- Taliesin West- in Scottsdale, AZ.  It was inspiring, makes me wish I was 20 years younger so I could attend.  I will show you pictures later on of this spot.

Lots to show you when I get home…  I purchased some interesting stuff, and even went rockhunting one day for fossils, jasper, calcite and agates.  The weather in Sedona was beautiful and the sunsets were stunning!  Took a train ride down a canyon, went for a sunset jeep ride with a crazy cowboy, and even went for some hikes.  Shopping…. oh yes!

Take care!  Hugs, Carla

Wed. update:  Borrowed DH’s laptop once again while we are waiting for our flight in the airport.  We sailed through check-in and security, despite it being the day before Thanksgiving.  Our flight is said to be on-time, yet another miracle!  I love traveling on vacation, but I also love to come home.

Right before we left on this trip, I purchased a new and interesting piece of furniture  from Costco.com- a faux cabinet that hides a 50 inch flat screen TV for my bedroom.  When not in use, the TV is out of sight.  When in use, you press a button and the TV raises up.  Sounds pretty cool, doesn’t it?

Keep watching for pictures….

  1. It sounds like you had a great time.

The television stand/cabinet sounds very neat.

I hope you had an uneventful flight home and that your day today will be a restful one surrounded by those you love.
