This is my travel journal from a yacht delivery trip of the Motor/Yacht (M/Y) Odyssey, a 75 foot Lazzara, which started in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and ended in Bay Harbor, Michigan.- Carla
After our safe transport through the Welland Canal, we docked for the night at Marlon Marina in Port Colbourne, Lake Erie, Canada. We stayed here before on a previous delivery trip, so we knew it was a terrific location to dock, gas up, and grab a good meal.
Like most places we stayed, the employees all remembered our previous boat, M/Y Wombat. We found that all the Canadians we encountered to be very friendly, and helpful. In this case, a marina employee dropped us off at a great little restaurant, right next to the canal. We walked back to the Marina, which was a nice stroll. Due to how far north we were, it was still daylight at 9:30 pm.
We got back to the boat in time to watch HGTV’s “Bang For Your Buck” in which Yvette and Dave’s friend, Julie, was the Fort Lauderdale Real estate expert. We enjoyed seeing her on TV and thought she did a terrific job!
